The first time I actually used Gorilla Glue was to fix a heel that came completely off my shoe. I was a little reluctant to use it because at that time Gorilla Glue was a topaz color and the company didn’t make clear glue. I was afraid that the glue would expand and dry orange. I was also afraid that I would be caught outside walking and my heel would fall apart once again! But I am happy to say that it’s been 4 years since I applied that Gorilla Glue to my shoes and guess what my heel never fell off. I’m 5’8 tall and about 170 pounds so if the heel didn’t fall off for me I think it’s a pretty strong glue.
What I didn’t like about the Gorilla Glue was that it did expand like I thought and some of the topaz/orange color did seep through BUT I just cut that part off and painted over it. Nowadays Gorilla Glue comes in different colors and textures so you have a variety to choose from.
Overall, I love Gorilla Glue and in my opinion it can fix your high heel as it worked for me!
